Changing habits have never been easy for me. I know there are many habits to change but discipline just never seems to be enough. It wasn't until I heard someone taught "Discipline cannot be the goal. Discipline is a by-product of a great vision", that I began to understand how to generate the discipline to change my habits.
How to change our habits? Start by having a compelling vision for our life. That will give us the strong WHY for changing our habits. Without a strong why, we will never have the motivation to change.
Instead of spending time trying to change our habits, I would suggest we spend more time asking "where am I really going in life" and "what must I change to become who I want to be and go where I want to go?" The clearer our vision for our lives, the more it makes sense to change our habits and achieve work-life balance because we want to go for the long term.
