How do you know when it's time to leave your current company and move on?

Someone once told me "God allows us to make decisions in our lives, no mater if they are good decisions or bad ones, he will be with us" so make the best decision you can and trust it will be good.

In my case, I decided to leave former company when I found my way to go ahead. I had an alternative to utilize company as a place to realize my dream though, it seemed to me, my dream didn't fit to the company's playing field and direction.
Sometimes, I see some people's misunderstanding of company. That is, people consider company "HIRES" employee. This is true, but on the hand, we can consider that the company is the place where our dream will become true. It is the better situation when company wants a person, and a person wants the company to do what a person wants to do.
Unfortunately, I also see some people who leave company before finding what a person would like to do.
Those people leave company by the reasons such as low salary, uncomfortable working environment, lack of opportunities, not good human relationship, whatever without noticing the true reason exists a person itself.
We can not change others, all we can do is change ourselves. Before noticing what really a person would like to do, all the retirement from the companies will become just escape from reality and endless search for the heaven which doesn't exist.

Từ bỏ công việc của mình hoàn toàn không phải là một quyết định tùy tiện, bởi vì nó sẽ tác động rất lớn đến cuộc sống của chúng ta, tuy nhiên, nếu mỗi ngày phải đến công sở với một cái đầu nặng trịch những suy nghĩ tiêu cực và một cảm giác không thoải mái thì thật chẳng hay chút nào. Chúng ta không những làm việc vì tiền hay mục đích nào khác mà chính là cho bản thân cảm thấy hữu ích hằng ngày. Vì thế, công việc nên là một nguồn vui thú chứ không nên là một gánh nặng về tâm lý.
Thử tưởng tượng, bạn phải đi làm trong một tâm trạng không thoải mái thì làm sao bạn còn đầu óc để nghĩ đến việc hoàn thành tốt công việc. Bạn chỉ muốn làm cho xong rồi thôi. Hậu quả, công việc đạt kết quả không như mong muốn, còn bạn thì lại mang thêm một gánh nặng khiến cuộc sống trở nên tệ hơn. Những căng thẳng của công việc làm cho bạn bị mệt mỏi: bạn bị chứng nhức đầu, đau lưng, thậm chí là mất ngủ... hành hạ. Nếu như chính công việc là nguyên nhân khiến cho bạn có những vấn đề trên thì dù cho chúng có đem đến mức lương cao ngất đi nữa, bạn cũng nên đặt sức khỏe của mình lên hàng đầu.

I have changed jobs several times, for new experiences when 20's, for career move-up when 30's, and for money and inspiration in jobs nowadays. I often justify the time to change jobs by two simple questions:

1. Do I feel motivated and inspired to go to the office every morning? If motivation and inspiration nolonger exist, I have to find out the reasons - the job, the paid, the boss, the policy, etc, and then the second question comes.

2. Am I still useful to the organisation or the people there? If the answer is NO, and there's no way to improve it, then it is better to find a new place that I can find myself helpful and value added.

This is true to me, but maybe of no use to others.

Is there a formula for success?
From books or media, we find a lot of successful stories. Most of them have common success factors: entrepreneurship, ambition, luck, efforts, supports, etc. Are they "must-have" ingredients of a success? And then, will a normal chef can make a good meal with these excellent "ingredients"? Please share your ideas.
