How do you think about timimg of working?

Ideal time for a job is 3-4 yr (I'm saying a job, not a company. Depend on the scope, type, industry... of the company, there is no limit that 1 person would stay how long with 1 company)
- 1st year: Learning, observing
- 2nd yr: Settle well in the job, start performing
- 3rd 4th yr: Contributing & preparing for succession plan

To me, you move or stay depend on what is your long term career plan (say in the next 5 yr) and how your current company can fit with that, it doesn't matter how long you have stay w them. Sometime, in that plan's perspective, move is good, sometime not. So thing thoroughly, plan carefully and act decisively.
