Steve Jobs has resigned. What do you think this means for the future of Apple?

Steve Job is the best best best innovator in today world in my view. He's the best because he always 2-3 step ahead of other competitor, so I strongly believe that he has very good preparation for his resignation, though it might still impact to his team, investor and customer emotionally. Life go on anyway. We ALL love you, Steve

When you think of Steve Jobs, what immediately comes to mind?
• wealth?
• Fame?
• Apple?
That’s right. My guess is that Apple and Mac computers and technology comes to mind at the mention of Steve Jobs name.
Now, when I mention “Apple” or “Mac” What comes to mind?
• McDonald’s Pie?
• Sleek Outperforming Computers?
• Steve Jobs?
For most of you, when I mention Apple or Mac, you are not going to think of Steve Jobs, you are going to think of Sleek, Outperforming computers.
Therefore, I am not the least bit worried about Apple’s future now that Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO. In fact, if his health has been failing, Apple may actually do better to have him on the board of directors, rather than CEO.
Here is the reason that Apple will continue to succeed as the leader in computing technology for years to come.
Apple’s Brand is not built on Steve Jobs, but rather on providing a superior product for a certain group of people in the marketing place.
That is Apple’s Brand. That is why Apple designs and produces what they do. That is why Apple will continue to succeed.
So, no, I am not worried about Steve Jobs resigning as CEO of Apple, nor am I concerned about the slight dip in Apple stocks. Investors are fickle, and they like to jump at the slightest tickle.
Don’t worry, Apple will continue being Apple and producing according to their brand. Just like a Fuji Apple tree will always produce a Fuji Apple tree, no matter who the farmer is and what soil he grows it in.

Let's take FPT in Vietnam as a closer example. As far as I know since 2008 there is a rumor about Mr. Truong Gia Binh is going to leave FTP and Mr. Truong Dinh Anh going to replace his position, at that time, the FPT shares going keep going down until FPT have to send representative to confirm that Mr. Truong Gia Binh never quit from FPT. But the true is Mr. Truong Dinh Anh already working as a trial CEO for FPT from that time until 2011. More than 3 years preparation to doing that in FPT! How about that in Apple?
So in caseI agree with Ms.Thanh Nguyen that this will very good preparation for his resignation already.

I agree that Apple will be Apple for some period of time. However, they do need a “techie” innovator with ideas who is able to envision electronic products that people need and will want to buy. The iPod was an extension of the Walkman. Likewise, the iPhone was an extension of the combination of cellphones and personal data systems. And, the iPad was from 2001:A Space Odyssey.
But, the bad news is that most corporations play it safe in their future and replace their techie management with the latest guru MBA types. And, they are not technical innovators. Rather, they think all one needs to do is tell their researchers to invent a “wheel” and they will do it. So, the real challenge will be to see who replaces Tim Cook.

My prediction: Apple will remain a dominant player such as Sony, Cisco, IBM... But most likely, it won't be able to stand out as it did as #1 innovator that we knew. As compromission will start to make his way into production, the products and reputation will suffer more and more. Slowly but surely, customer will lose faith and will start looking at competition. The MAC and IPhone/ITouch/Ipad will continue to carry the company forward for the next decade. But what then ? Will they remain innovators of become followers ?
