For any explanation, I think there is only one reason everyone wants to take another job: making a change.
- Employee hates him/ her boss ----> take a new job to change the boss
- Employee wants to get higher positions ----> to change title/ role
- Employee wants to take more challenging job ---> to change their working environment, responsibilities...
.....
We change our job because we want to change something. However, if we can change ourselves (inside), we might not need to change our job (outside) :-)Do you agree with my points of view?

I've been working with some people who doesn't really know what they want in their career road map and therefore become a job -hopper. They work here with you, then suddenly see a friend who can make more money in other industry, hence they can decide to switch job just simple like that. i must say I take certain responsibility when recruiting them. I now make the interview process very strict and focus to ask a lot of orientation question like:
- What do you want to become in the next 3-5 yr
- Why you think this job fit w that future?
- How do you think if friend at the same age can make more money, higher position next year?-

There are not typical reasons for employees quit their job. However, HRD or HRM is a sincere person who staff can be trusted, then they will provide actual reason why they leave organization.
Luckily, I am working in HR industry for almost 8 years. I don't play politic. Meaning, I'm always be neutral and fair for both EE and ER. Therefore, if staff resigns, i normally get the correct feedback from them. Then, i can work and give solution for EE and ER. Majority, It is around 80%, they quit because of their boss's management style. The 20% is for wages and benefits.
