January 2004 - July 2013 (9 years 8 months)My Lan was appointed CEO of Aon Vietnam since 2004 after Aon acquired BaoViet’s 50% share in its joint venture to become 100% foreign owned company.
Prior to this assignment during 16 years working with Aon, My Lan have held a variety of management positions, including Operations Manager, Chief Representative Officer, General Manager, then Deputy Managing Director.
When Vietnam first opened to foreign investment in early 1990, My Lan was exposed to international business practices and gained a wealth of experience in project management while working as Project Manager in a foreign investment consulting firm. Vietnam’s opening of the insurance market to international cooperation in 1994 gave My Lan her start in insurance with HHL – which was acquired by Aon in late 1995.
