As Vice President for Strategic Business, Shimmy Thomas champions MFEC
Services credentials to customers, partners and prospects in Thailand and the
region. He proactively works with customers and prospects to identify their business
pains and engage technology partners and resources to provide solutions that can
address their business and operational needs. He is responsible for driving new
Industry vertical initiatives, vendor alliances and exploring new markets for MFEC IT
Services portfolio. He has taken up additional assignment at PromptNow, a Mobile
Technology solutions company as Executive Director where he drives
transformational initiatives including operational excellence, business strategy and
development.

Thomas brings to these roles strong understanding of the customers’ IT needs,
having served in the IT industry for seventeen years, six years in Technical Support
and Consulting for large Enterprise systems environments and eleven years handling
Vendor, Partner Alliances, Special projects and Corporate Strategy roles. His
expertise is in Datacenter Infrastructure, Cloud Services, E-commerce, Mobility
solutions, Web services platforms and Technology solutions for the enterprise.
Prior to joining MFEC, Thomas spent three years at Sun Microsystems, as Partner
Sales Manager, driving software business for India, Thailand and Philippines. In his
capacity, he developed a solid partner foundation from scratch, and built the iPlanet
(Sun ONE) brand, technology resource pool and install base.

Prior to Sun Microsystems, Thomas was instrumental in setting up MFEC Limited as
a leading Systems Integrator in Thailand. He led the start-up company’s efforts to
differentiate as an IT Services provider by creating a Professional Services unit with strong technical and project management capability.

Prior to his engagement with MFEC, He had technical roles at Digital Equipment
Corp. (now HP) and Automated Systems HK (now Teamsun HK).
