I jointed to the non-life insurance market since 2003 and working through international independent loss adjusting company for both famous local & foreigner Insurer companies and just take part in the international insurance broker/consultancy/intermediary foreigner company so far.

Duties for claims division:
General responsibilities:
As the claims supervisor, I have to maintain the insurance claim files, review such files and ensure that payments have been completed and are correct. Moreover, I must follow up with any and all issues related to the insurance claims and direct such issues to pertinent parties when necessary to have them resolved by those individuals. In the case of litigation regarding the insurance claims, it is the claims supervisor’s responsibility to discuss the matter with legal counsel and aid them in pursuing the litigation.
Specific duty of my position is to maintain insurance claim files, must keep the files in an organized manner and store them in a secure location where they will not get lost or misplaced. I always need to ensure that the insurance claim files are able to be pulled out whenever they are needed for review or action.

• Receive the claims submission and/or even complain from the Insured and their brokers in related to the insurance claims.
• Verify the claims/complain and the relevant policy insurance.
• Contact and make appointment with clients for further clarification then appoint loss adjuster (in case of complicated claims) or conduct site survey (in case of small claims). Guide the insured/brokers for the relevant supporting documents
• Register the claim into the system with the firm and reasonable reservation.
• Propose the claims settlement
• Follow up with the outstanding supporting document and/or issues may have.

Duties for risks management division:
• Conduct site survey at the Insured’s premises to collection the general information in related to the Insured’s business.
• Noted and record the potential risks, the exposure risks within the Insured’s premises and recommend to the Insured to improve their risks.
• Report to the Underwriting Dep in order to consider before quote
• Prepare and complete Risks survey report then send to the relevant party within 07 consecutive days.

It mainly offers life and non-life insurance services, as well as engages in reinsurance, damages valuation, and portfolio management. Life insurance services are engaged in the insurance of personal health and accidents, while non-life insurance services are of property, fire, explosion, vehicles, and transportation insurance from the natural gas (high pressure gas) that has been drilled from the drilling platform.
Duties for underwriter
In general, depending on the type of insurance being requested, I may conduct independent investigations of applicants, such as proposal form or background checks. Also, if property insurance is sought, I may need to enlist help from professional appraisers. Actuaries assess risk at a macro level, determining the proper premiums and policy terms for broad categories of individuals and properties. Insurance underwriters work at a micro level, analyzing specific applications for insurance, and setting the specific policy terms and conditions for each that they accept, within guidelines set by the insurance carriers. Among these terms and conditions is the premium to be paid by the insured.
In an other hand, the reasonable plans approach the local brokers companies as well as the best supporting to the agents is needed in order to full fill the target.

They have always prided ourselves in establishing a Crawford office where there is demand for our skills and services.
The company was the first International Loss Adjusters to open offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City where on the 6th June 2001 Crawford (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. was registered as a 100% foreign owned company. As such they were the first International Loss Adjusters to open an office in Hanoi and HCMC (Saigon) operating under a full FDI license.

• Guide the Insured in regarded to the claim’s supporting documents.
• Conduct site survey on behalf of Insurer’s as independent loss adjuster with team in order to investigate in to the cause of loss/damage, check the q’ty of loss/damage, propose the claim settlement...ect. Check and adjust the claim amount submitted from the Insured.
• Prepare the preliminary report then send to the Insurer.
• Update and discuss with the Insurer/broker for any issues may have during the time of claim settlement.
• Follow up with the Insurer for any outstanding loss adjuster’s fee.
Achievement:
• Daily training from Senior Loss Adjuster and Manager related to the claims settlement procedure.
• Obtained the skills how to deal with the Insured and their Broker in case of issue.
• Gained a lot of good knowledge in loss adjusting field.
