- Manages staff engaged in the design / development, administration or operations of IT system functions or programs; may also manage the delivery of IT services to a physical location / site.
- Directs staff activities related to the design and development of new or enhanced systems capabilities.
- Manages employees in systems support and/or other functional divisions within the IT department.
- Applies knowledge of IT and business unit operations to deliver a more efficient IT operation.
- Undertakes all staff hiring, mentoring and development; and addresses and resolves staff issues.
- Establishes department goals and action plans to support corporate objectives; and maintains progress reports.
